January 20th and February 17th. You might as well mark your calendars now. If you watch two college basketball games all year, these might be the ones to watch. It's UCLA vs. Arizona. UCLA is undefeated with 14 straight wins, four of those over ranked teams. Then there's Arizona, whose only loss came by three points at Virginia. What UCLA gets done with poise and teamwork, Arizona does it with absolutely freakish talent and athleticism.

  • Too bad Zona is gonna get beat by the Cougs tomorrow. I would mark down UCLA's trip to Pullman (March 1) if I were you. The Cougs only lost by three on the Bruins' home floor. And I agree that the Pac-10 is the best basketball conference in the nation, hands down.
  • Don't forget Oregon at Arizona on the 14th and Zona at USC on the 18th. USC is the out of nowhere team, after knocking off Oregon in Eugene last night and beating a ranked Washington team last week. There could legitimately be 5 Pac-10 teams in the tourney this year. Exciting stuff.
  • USC is alright, but the Cougs already beat them...at their place, too.
  • VERY close game. USC also beat Wichita St.... that's 3 ranked teams already. Not bad for a team nobody expected to be competitive.
  • USC is a big surprise, no doubt. But the Cougs are getting no respect for a team that has lost only two games all year, one of which came at the hands of the No.1-ranked Bruins.
  • wait till they get those two five star players in next year. look out bruins.
  • Thanks, I actually did just mark my calendar.

That Zona / UW game last night was an incredible contest. What a shootout, and I gained tremendous respect for Chase Budinger -- he's going to be a force for a lot of years. That fact that Washington is ranked second to last in Pac-10 play tells you everything you need to know about this conference.
  • Exactly. Well said.
  • WSU is very good too. They beat my Aztecs. :(
  • Any team that has the mascot of the year has a leg up on the competition.
  • How about that Arizona loss to Washington St.! Gotta love Pac-10 ball this year
