Tyler Hansbrough: The Ladies Man

I think people need to leave college athletes alone when it comes to this type of thing. Is it really a big deal that Hansbrough jumped off of a roof into a pool and was seen taking pictures with a girl? Same with the Eric Gordon picture. Its not that big of a deal

It really is a big deal, though, that Tyler Hansbrough was jumping off a roof into a pool. He's on pace to be the first 4-Time All-American in the history of the NCAA. He's a role model to thousands of little kids all over the country. The last thing he needs to be caught doing is taking a nose-dive off of a house into a pool. I know he's a kid, he's my age actually, but there are unfair responsibilities that come with being a star athlete, and being a role model is just oen of them.

Another thing, I think it's good for a kid my age to do stupid things like this. Hell, I do them all the time unfortunately. I was just posting as a point of argument. Personally, I don't think it's a big deal. It's more refreshing to me to see someone like Hansbrough and Frasor doing stuff like this than being robots and staying locked in their apartments or dorms.

he wasn't nosediving. that actually would be alot dumber than what he did. If he did end up getting hurt, he is fair game to ridicule in my mind. Since he didn't get hurt I think that it is a nonstory

the whole incident seemed to show a lack of thought to me. i mean, wouldn't you think that jumping from at least 12 feet up into presumably less than five feet of water would have some potentially serious physical repercussions? physics? especially if your team, and coach, and school are counting on you to return for another shot at a championship? (hiss. hiss!) i'm not a carolina fan by any stretch, but if patrick patterson were caught doing something that dumb i'd be fairly annoyed, just because of how much time i invest into the teams i love. to some of my unc friends, it seemed extremely stupid considering the stakes at hand college athletes have the ncaa standards, but they also have their team's fans. they may not have signed up for the latter, but you'd think by now that hansbrough would realize that there's some expectations that go with the position he's in.

Stars aren't allowed to have fun either?

Gee, why don't they all just adopt the A.C. Green philosophy and never have any fun
