The Louisville basketball team had their third and final intra-squad scrimmage on Saturday afternoon. Of all three scrimmages, I thought the teams were more evenly divided on Saturday than the previous two. If you didn’t get a chance to make it to the Yum! Center, you didn’t miss a whole lot, but here are a few observations.
–Kevin Ware got a lot of time at the point guard position on Saturday. Although he still needs some work, I think Ware has the potential to be a reliable PG before he leaves Louisville. That’s not something I thought I’d say a month ago. Ware has easily looked like the most improved player on the team. He’s playing with a lot of confidence.
–I hate to overreact about an intra-squad scrimmage, but everything Pitino has been selling to us about Luke Hanckock, I’m now buying. Hancock scored all of his 18 points in the first half and connected on 3-of-6 three point attempts.
