Gerardo Suero scored 21 points and Logan Aronhalt added 18 to help Albany (N.Y.) beat Navy 69-62 on Friday.
Suero made 5 of 11 attempts and sank 10 of his 11 free throws. Aronhalt went 6 for 13 from the field and dropped four 3-pointers in the game.
Albany (3-3) held a 37-30 lead with more than 18 minutes remaining in the second half. But the Great Danes went on a 22-9 run to take a 59-39 lead with 9:43 left to play. During the run Aronhalt hit two 3-pointers and made two free throws.
Suero's jumper capped the run and his two free throws with 4:11 remaining in the game ended a 9-1 run for the Midshipmen.
Navy (2-4) fought back, narrowing the lead to 62-58, but Suero made six free throws in the final 2 minutes and accounted for Albany's final 12 points.
