There’s a very good chance that Andrew Wiggins will be the top overall selection in the NBA Draft next month, and this is something he very well knows heading in. Not even skipping the recent NBA Combine in Chicago will hurt that, and in an appearance on NBA Sirius Radio on Tuesday, with the lottery just a few hours away, Wiggins clarified just how much it’ll mean to him to be the first player taken. It’ll mean a lot more than knowing where he’s headed. Wiggins made a big impact in his one season in Lawrence as a member of the Kansas Jayhawks, averaging 17.1 points per game and 5.9 rebounds. He consistently got better as the season moved along, leading many to believe that he’s the player with the most potential out of this entire draft group this year.

Video: ESPN’s Michael Smith Tries To Match Andrew Wiggins’ 44-Inch Vertical, Doesn’t Quite Make It

The picture of Andrew Wiggins’ 44-inch vertical jump made waves on Twitter a few days ago, and now the meme has hit Bristol. ESPN’s Michael Smith, host of “Numbers Never Lie” tried to match Wiggins impressive vertical with the Jayhawks star in studio. He was a few dozen inches short. Wiggins may very well be the first pick in this year’s NBA Draft. At worst, he’ll...

The Cavs won the NBA Draft Lottery -- but did Wiggins and Embiid lose it?

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Hope you took a picture of Andrew Wiggins and Joel Embiid on Tuesday night, side by side in their tailored suits, sharper than a pair of Hattori Hanzo swords, twin pillars of sunshine. It might be the last time we see them smiling like that for a good, long while. Other than the screams across social media that the whole thing was rigged like the 1919 World Series...

16-Year Old Ukraine Phenom Commits To Kansas

The rich get richer. Bill Self has a knack for snatching up big time players in late spring. Around this time last year, Andrew Wiggins committed to Kansas. The Jayhawks currently have the 4th ranked class of 2014, with Cliff Alexander and Kelly Oubre headlining the class as McDonald’s All-Americans. Self wasn’t done adding to this class apparently. Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk has...

NBA Mock Draft 1.0 + Analysis

NBA Mock Draft 1.0 + Lottery Analysis   1. Cleveland Cavaliers: Andrew Wiggins, SG, Kansas This is the Cavs’ 3rd number 1 overall pick in 4 years – they absolutely must make this pick count. This pick will come down to Wiggins, Embiid, and Parker. In the end, I feel like the upside of a Wiggins/Irving duo will be tough to pass up. I definitely think playing with Kyrie Irving...
