Arizona State basketball hosts talented forward on visit

The 6-foot-7 forward junior averaged 19.7 points per game with the Bears. The forward had a 47.2% field goal percentage and shot 86.6% of his free throws this year.

Thomas originally started his college career at Loyola Chicago. In Loyola’s season opener against Coppin State, Thomas scored 13 points and had three rebounds and four assists in just 18 minutes—a positive start to his career.

Those 13 points were the most made by a true freshman at Loyola since the 2018-2019 season.

In the 2022-2023 season, Thomas only appeared in 14 games and started the first five games. He had a season-high 11 points against Fairleigh Dickinson with seven rebounds. Against DePaul, the junior would have a season-best eight rebounds. Later on against Central Arkansas, Thomas would have a season-best seven assists.

Fast forward to the 2023-2024 season with the Bears and Thomas had his breakout season. The junior would have his season-high of 37 points and 13 field goals made against Montana. In that same game, Thomas had a season-high four steals with three blocks.

247 Sports ranks the Omaha native as a four-star transfer prospect and the No. 53 overall transfer prospect in the class. If he chooses to go with the Sun Devils, it will be a big offseason win for coach Bobby Hurley.
