Auburn offered former Georgia State wide receiver Robert Lewis

As the portal opens, there are a few positions that Auburn is going to hit extremely hard, including quarterback and wide receiver. Both of these positions were concerning for Hugh Freeze's team this season, so he plans to write the ship with some portal additions.

Former Georgia State wide receiver Robert Lewis just entered the transfer portal coming off a huge season for the Panthers. Lewis caught 70 passes for 877 yards and seven touchdowns this season.

The five-foot-eleven 185-pound receiver received an offer this morning from Auburn, so the Tigers are interested.

Lewis was the second highest graded player on Georgia State's offense at 76.3, which is a really good number. Georgia State took on LSU this season, and in this game, Lewis graded out at a 69.6. He caught nine passes for 59 yards, proving he can play in the SEC.

Watching the tape on Lewis, he is a solid route runner, fast, and can win the 50/50 ball. Coach Freeze grabbed a handful of receivers out of the portal last cycle that didn't pan out, so he needs a few homerun transfers at the receiver position this go-round.

Lewis is quickly receiving offers from a bunch of schools, so if Auburn wants him, they need to get him on campus for a visit. Hopefully, Lewis could be an answer to Auburn's issues at the wide receiver position.
