Tyrae Robinson scored 20 points and Tyler Koch added 17 points and seven rebounds to lead Ball State to a 73-52 victory against Central Michigan on Wednesday night.
Randy Davis compiled seven points, seven rebounds and 10 assists for the Cardinals (11-5, 3-1 Mid-American), who shot 54.2 percent (26 of 48) from the floor and enjoyed a 40-24 rebounding advantage.
Austin McBroom scored 16 points for the Chippewas (7-10, 2-2). Trey Zeigler, who came in averaging a team-leading 16.4 points a game, was held to just six.
Central Michigan, which has lost four straight meetings between the schools, shot just 32 percent (8 for 25) in the first half en route to a 38-22 deficit at the break. The Chippewas got no closer than 15 points in the second half.
Jesse Berry scored 11 points for Ball State.
