Burney hangs up his shoes

Patrick Stevens confirms in the Washington Times D1scource blog that PF Jerome Burney's playing days are over at Maryland. Burney's chronic foot problems that forced him to redshirt as a freshman and then miss most of last season just wouldn't go away so he is taking a position an assistant strength and conditioning coach. It is a shame that Burney never got to show what he was capable of doing.
