Found November 27, 2013 on The Cardinal Connect:
Pete Cautilli – The Cardinal Connect On Tuesday evening it was revealed that Louisville junior forward Chane Behanan’s 2012 Final Four ring had landed in the hands of a high end sports auction house. As of 10:30 AM on Wednesday morning, GreyFlannelAuctions.com removed the ring from their site, claiming that they had been informed by Behanan’s mother that the ring had been stolen from the family. At this point, it’s uncertain of how GreyFlannelAuctions.com obtained the ring. FWIW, Grey Flannel is one of the more respected sports memorabilia auctioneers in the country. The fact that they’ve removed the ring from auction, confirmed that they didn’t actually get it from Behanan himself. University of Louisville sports information director Kenny Klein confirmed to the Courier-Journal on Wednesday morning that they were looking into the auction. However, that was before Grey Flannel removed the ring from their website. There is still a lot to be learned about this situation, but this is a...

Pitino Extends Scholarship Offer To Another 7-Footer

Rick Pitino added a surprise signee to his 2014 class last week when Norway native Matz Stockman, a 7-foot-2 center, signed a letter of intent with Louisville. While I’m sure Pitino and his staff had this brewing for at least a few weeks, Stockman was basically an unknown recruit prior to signing with Louisville. If you’ve followed Louisville’s recruiting classes over the years...

Michael Dwyer – AP Photo Louisville fans always have high expectations of their hometown Cardinals.  Emotions run high after a Cardinal victory and they run even higher in defeat.  Some glaring weaknesses were evident following Sunday’s loss to UNC, but there is certainly no reason for panic.  The Louisville basketball team is still considered a national title contender. Charlie Strong Hopes To Keep Cincinnati On The Schedule Going Forward

Outside of Kentucky, Cincinnati is probably the biggest rivalry for the University of Louisville. There’s not nearly as much hatred between the two fan bases, but there is definitely a lot of history. Louisville has played Cincinnati in football more than they’ve played any other opponent. Unfortunately, due to the recent conference carousel, next week’s game is the last one...

Don’t Worry About Louisville Just Yet

Mark L. Baer-USA TODAY Sports College Basketball games in the month of November mean absolutely nothing. Sure, that sounds like an excuse for the terrible performance we saw yesterday from Rick Pitino’s team, but it’s not. Although the Cards played about as bad as they could, the game means nothing. Although there are obvious areas that need some serious improvement, yesterday’s...
