By Josh Evans - Duke faced a major test as the #1 team in the country on Saturday afternoon. Duke had been on Christmas break, and it showed early in the energy that the Blue Devils were lacking. Santa Clara took advantage, and made the Duke Blue Devils realize that this is not going to be an easy push over game. To say that other teams give Duke their best is true, and Santa Clara did just that. Kevin Foster scored 29 points for Santa Clara who as a team shot 45% hitting 9 three pointers. Now, should the game of been that close? Probably not, but when you are the #1 team in the country, every team will get up for the game against you! Santa Clara played above what they usually do to keep the game close. I do not want to take much away from them though, because the team came out, and played well.
