It's Always Sunny in Detroit:
BEST OF MAXIM
Roy McCallum Jr., a sophomore guard at the University of Detroit-Mercy had a pretty incredible bucket vs. Austin Peay last week in the final game of the Progressive CBE Classic Subregional held at the Stroh Center at Bowling Green State University. He slipped while driving down the lane and somehow bounced the ball off the glass in for the field goal. Sorry it took us until...
Detroit Mercy sophomore guard Ray McCallum Jr. certainly had lady luck on his side when he made this improbable basket during his team’s 94-93 win over Austin Peay last week. Heck, even the Harlem Globetrotters would say that shot was impressive. Unlike the Globetrotters however, McCallum’s shot was pure flukiness at it’s best.
Not only is McCallum’s basket incredibly lucky...

DETROIT -- Detroit Mercys season hasnt started quite how sophomore point guard Ray McCallum expected.
If you asked me a month ago if this is where I thought wed be, Id have said no, he said. But it just shows you that when you have high expectations teams are going to give you their best game. Thats something weve learned the past...

Detroit guard Ray McCallum Jr. caught a pass while going around a screen, he slipped on the ground on his way to the bucket, somehow...
Oftentimes when shots happen in smaller conferences, such as this gem from the Horizon League, they get lost in the shuffle. But thanks to YouTube, you can see Detroit’s Ray McCallum score two of his 12 points vs. Austin Peay on Nov. 23. This play might have gone unnoticed nationally had the Titans not released [...]
In one of the strangest made baskets you will ever see, University of Detroit Mercy guard Ray McCallum Jr. (I cannot read that name without thinking of Ray Parker, Jr., which makes it pretty cool) actually slap-bounced a ball into the bucket for a bizarre basket during his team’s game against Austin Peay. After going [...]
Pretty cool video from Detroit Mercy's game against Austin Peay last week.
The University of Detroit really hasn’t had a player of interest since Hall of Famer Dave Debusschere graduated in 1962. Ray McCallum Jr was a heavily recruited senior last year as UCLA, Arizona and Florida all vied for his services. He chose to stay home and play for his father, Ray McCallum Sr at U of D.
The McDonald’s All-American can’t make money for his circus basket...
