Duke Blue Devils
North Carolina State Wolfpack
By Duke of Hoops – While Duke fell to #3 in the polls following their loss to NC State over the weekend, two teams moved ahead of the Blue Devils – Louisville and Indiana. In the Cardinals’ first game as a #1 team in the regular season, they were behind UCONN for much of the first half before pulling away. Indiana was not as lucky, going down to Wisconsin at Assembly Hall. With only one game between now and the next polls, a home contest against Georgia Tech tomorrow night, Duke stands to gain at least one spot in the polls. With Louisville’s game against #9 Syracuse, Duke could regain their rightful spot atop the polls after losing it for only one week.

Wisconsin is making Indiana its second home. Even in basketball. Ryan Evans scored 13 points, Traevon Jackson added 11 and the unranked Badgers used their typically deliberate, safe style to upset the second-ranked Hoosiers 64-59 and take sole possession of the confe...

By Duke of Hoops – After Duke lost to NC State on Saturday, it was certain they would lose their #1 ranking. Then Michigan went and lost to Ohio State the next day. That put some doubt in the heads of some AP voters that Duke should fall from the top spot. CBS Sports’ Jeff Goodman and Gary Parrish in particular were vocal that Louisville should not jump Duke in the standings...
By Adrian Cubbage – In 1947, Bob “the Harrisburg Houdini” Davies became the first point guard to win the NBA MVP. Ten years later, Bob Cousy duplicated the feat by being the next small man to win the highest award in a “tall man’s league”. What was established moving forward was the realization that in order to be successful in basketball, somebody has to deliver...
Duke used a 12-0 run at the start of the second half to hold off Georgia Tech 73 to -57 to help the Blue Devils avoid a second straight loss.
With the win the No. 3 Blue Devils improved their record to 16-1 (3-1 ACC). It was Duke’s second game since losing Ryan Kelly for an indefinite amount of time and for a good time against the Yellow Jackets it looked as if they some how...
By Chad Lykins – Coming off of their first loss of the season at the hands of the North Carolina State Wolfpack this past Saturday, the No. 3 Duke Blue Devils return to the court on Thursday night as they will host the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Duke (15-1, 2-1) will look to get back to their winning ways, still without senior forward Ryan Kelly who is sidelined indefinitely...
By Duke Of Hoops – The Duke Basketball season is not over, but their undefeated streak is after falling to NC State in Raleigh on Saturday. The defense was definitely missing Ryan Kelly, as CJ Leslie scored big baskets when they were needed and Duke was not able to keep the lead they established late in the first half. Moving forward, there were some positive signs from the game...
