Sean Johnson's 14 points paced four double-figure scorers as Duquesne raced out to an early 15-point lead and stayed ahead of George Mason in the second half for a 75-64 win on Wednesday night. T.J. McConnell and Eric Evans each scored 12 points for the Dukes (7-5). Duquesne opened the game with four new starters in the lineup after dropping three of their previous five games, including a 14-point loss at Western Michigan on Saturday. The change paid quick dividends as the Dukes knocked down nine of their first 15 shots, then tacked on a 10-0 run midway through the opening half for a 33-18 lead. Ryan Pearson scored 13 points and Vertrail Vaughns also added 13 for the Patriots (7-4), who watched their 18-game home court winning streak end under the weight of a season-high 22 turnovers.
