Going by the rankings, the Florida Gators are the third or fourth best team in the country right now. The Associated Press poll has the Gators at #3 and the USA Today Coaches Poll has the Gators at number four. Those rankings are based off of each team’s record instead of how well each team is currently playing. If that was the case, the Florida Gators would be ranked number one. That’s right. The Gators are playing better basketball at the moment than any other team in the country, including undefeated Syracuse. From the beginning of the season to now, no team in the country has come further than the Gators. Billy Donovan’s squad had to play early season games without two key players – Scottie Wilbekin and Chris Walker – while sat through suspensions. Despite not having two key players, the Gators were extremely competitive early in the season. Donovan scheduled one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the country with games against teams like Kansas, UConn, Wisconsin and Me...
