Just four days after de-committing from the University of Indiana, James Blackmon, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound shooting guard Fort Wayne, IN., has picked up a scholarship offer from Rick Pitino.
Blackmon verbally committed to Indiana before he ever played a high school game, but decided to reopen things late last week. He is rated as a four star prospect by Scout.com and is considered to be one of the better shooters in the country.
Rick Pitino and staff must think highly of Blackmon, considering they weren’t actively recruiting him the entire time he was committed to Indiana and offered a scholarship just a few days later.
Blackmon is a former AAU teammate of current Louisville commit JaQuan Lyle. Trey Lyles, one of the top targets for the Louisville staff also played AAU with Lyle and Blackmon for the Indiana Spiece.
