While the ACC season is young, and Duke has played less than a quarter of its games, the Blue Devils are going through a huge transformation right now so its appropriate to point out any impressive number the players on the team are putting up right now. Duke suffered its first loss to NC State during this stretch, so I didn’t expect the numbers to be this good, but four Blue Devils in particular are showing extremely positive numbers so far in ACC play.
According to data calculated by Jon Pence at scacchoops.com, Quinn Cook, Seth Curry, Mason Plumlee and Amile Jefferson rank among the Top 5 players in plus/minus rating per game. The minimum criteria to be ranked is 10 minutes per game, which leaves Ryan Kelly out of the equation. If you don’t know about plus/minus, it is a measure of how a team fares when a player is on the floor as opposed to when they’re on the bench.
