When he was hired late, coach Brian Gregory didn’t have much of an opportunity to put his stamp on Georgia Tech’s 2011 recruiting class, which ultimately ended up as a sole player, power forward Julian Royal, who was signed under former coach Paul Hewitt. The 2012 class has exhibited clear recruiting prowess from Gregory and his newly formed coaching staff, as Georgia Tech held two commitments coming into Thursday, from in-state guards Chris Bolden and Marcus Hunt. In a class with three elite post players hailing from Georgia, the Yellow Jackets made Shiloh (GA) post Robert Carter a top priority. That paid off today, as Carter announced for the Yellow Jackets.
