After trailing 49-46 with under a minute left, the Illinois Fighting Illini were on the brink of crashing out of the Big 10 Tournament against the Minnesota Golden Gophers.           D.J. Richardson, who had only made 1-of-11 shots prior to this point, hit a triple from the right wing to tie the game. After forcing a Minnesota (20-12, 8-10 Big Ten) turnover, Brandon Paul had a senior moment.           The senior guard took his time bringing the ball down the court, drove to the free throw line and hit a fade away jumper at the buzzer to give the Illini (22-11, 8-10 Big Ten) a 51-49 victory and Illinois will advance to the quarterfinals of the Big 10 Tournament.           Paul led the Illini in scoring with 25 points. The senior guard scored nearly half of Illinois’ points. Nnanna Egwu, Tracy Abrams, and Richardson were all next with 6 points.           Austin Hollins led the Golden Gophers with 16 points.
