For the first time in school history the Louisville men’s basketball program will play a regular season game as the No. 1 ranked team in the country. Both the coaches poll and the associated press poll were released within the last hour with Rick Pitino’s Louisville Cardinals ranked No. 1 in both. Louisville received 36 first place votes in the AP Poll. Duke received 14 while Indiana got 13. Both Kansas and Michigan each had one first place vote.
