It may be Valentine’s Day, but love wasn’t in the air Wednesday night for Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim and ESPN reporter Andy Katz. Following Syracuse’s tough loss to UConn on Wednesday night, Katz asked a seemingly harmless question about the rivalry between the two teams coming to a close. But Boeheim refused to answer his questions, calling the reporter “really disloyal” and an “idiot.” “There’s a few other things I could add, but I’m not gonna go there,” Boeheim added. Well, he went there. Check out the outburst below at the 1:25 mark.

  • I'm on Boeheim's side on this one. He is extremely protective of his kids and doesn't take crap from anyone. SU has had a lot of unfounded controversy of late and the press is right there to write about their viewpoint but never are they willing to say when they are wrong. Katz needs to get his facts before he opens his mouth. He is an idiot.
