Word On The Game:
Kentucky is by all accounts expected to be back in the national title picture with the best recruiting class of all-time (on paper). One of their 5-star recruits James Young showcased his talents in a very interesting way in what will perhaps be the basket of the year.

Kentucky’s star freshman James Young made a shot on Monday night which he couldn’t replicate if he tried a hundred times (most likely). Check out the incredible hustle play the young man made to save a ball going out of bounds. He chucked it behind him as he fell out of bounds and somehow he actually nailed the shot.

After a blocked shot, the freshman guard raced after the ball as it was bouncing out of bounds, and did well to save it, but his no-look toss back onto the court found the bottom of the Wildcats’ basket instead of a teammate’s hands.

It's a college basketball ritual, as steeped in tradition as Midnight Madness, big dances and one-and-done wunderkinds -- putting your star freshman in his place by pounding him for the one thing he did wrong, even among the dozens of things he did right.
And perhaps nobody is more adept at ripping into mega-star teenagers like Kentucky's John Calipari. But even Coach Cal...
