Kentucky basketball players Terrence Jones and Stacey Poole were involved in a car accident late last night, according to coach John Caliparis website.
The players were driving at 2:30 am when they were struck by an oncoming vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road. The driver was charged with driving under the influence.
The players escaped with minor injuries and were discharged from a hospital.
Though the players were not violating any team rules, Calipari stated he will now enforce a team curfew.
After a stunning showing in their exhibition game, defeating Morehouse College 125-40, the Kentucky Wildcats will officially open their season tonight against Marist at 7 p.m. on Fox Sports South.
