Louisiana Tech’s roster overhaul continued Friday when the school announced the signings of a pair of junior college players to add to the growing 2014 signing class.
Qiydar Davis (Indian Hills Community College) and Merrill Holden (Pratt Community College) become the sixth and seventh additions to Tech's class, which already inked five high school players during the fall signing period.
Davis, a 6-foot-6 swingman, will have two years of eligibility remaining, while Holden, a versatile 6-8 forward, has three years to play.
“We thought that our backcourt was pretty set and at the 5 we were pretty set,” Tech coach Michael White said. “This spring, the biggest characteristics we were targeting was defensive ability, versatility and athleticism and kids from successful programs. Both these guys can play a couple of different positions. They are very good defenders and very good rebounders.”
