The only thing that honestly matters from Saturday’s game is that Louisville got the win. It didn’t matter how it happened, as long as Rick Pitino finally got the monkey off of his back and got a win against John Calipari, fans were going to be pleased. Despite three of their top players in foul trouble throughout the entire second half, Louisville was able to pull through and get a tough fought win. You’ve got to give credit to Kentucky for not quitting, despite being down as many as 14 points. With that said, I don’t think it was anything that Kentucky did in order to get back in the game. It was mostly Louisville’s lack of execution down the stretch. Louisville started the game playing very tight and looked as if they knew the pressure was on them. That changed after the first five minutes or so. Once Louisville started playing their brand of basketball, the game was turning into a blowout.
