Raheem Appleby scored 21 points to lead Louisiana Tech to an 84-69 victory over Texas State in a Western Athletic Conference game on Saturday night. Alex Hamilton had 15 points, Isaiah Massey 10 and Chris Anderson pulled down 13 rebounds with eight points for the Bulldogs (21-3, 12-0), winners of 13 in a row. Louisiana Tech swept the series, beating Texas State 84-67 on Jan. 10. Joel Wright led the Bobcats (7-18, 3-10) with 13 points, Reid Koenen scored 12 and Basil Brown and Wesley Davis had 11 each. Texas State has lost four straight. The Bulldogs shot 44.6 percent (29 of 65) to the Bobcats' 37.8 percent (24 of 62), and Louisiana Tech made 18 of 20 from the foul line to Texas State's 13 of 25. Leading 36-29 at halftime, the Bulldogs started the second with a 10-1 burst for a 46-30 advantage to take control.
