More often than not, I don’t enjoy games like that. When Louisville is playing an opponent like North Carolina A&T, it’s hard to not expect perfection. Tonight’s game wasn’t perfect by any means, but so far so good . Louisville had some unforced turnovers in the first half, but other than that, this one was an absolute route. As you could expect, it was all started on the defensive end. The Cards forced North Carolina A&T to 27 turnovers and collected 20 steals, which is an NCAA tournament single game record. Russ Smith had eight of those steals, which is an individual NCAA tournament single game record. Smith also led all scorers with 23-points, shooting 10-of-16 from the floor. Peyton Siva had a very solid performance overall finishing with six points, eight assists and four steals. Post season Siva is without a doubt the best Siva.
