Percy Woods scored 21 points, including connecting on three 3-pointers and 10 foul shots, to lead Maryland-Eastern Shore in a 68-56 win over Morgan State Saturday. Tyler Hines added 16 points, Hillary Haley 13 and Louis Bell 10 for the Hawks (6-17, 3-7 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Maryland-Eastern Shore led most of the way, leading by five points at intermission and outscoring the Bears 36-29 in the second half. The Hawks have now won two out of three games for just the second time this season. Woods hit three 3-pointers to pace the Hawks, who shot 6 of 17 (35.3 percent). The Bears were just 4 of 20 from beyond the arc (20 percent). His 10 foul shots also led the Hawks, who were 16 of 21 (76.2 percent) compared to the Bears' 12 of 22 showing (54.5 percent). Justin Black had 12 points to lead Morgan State (5-17, 3-8).
