Bush League Chronicle:
Metta World Peace can relate to what transpired with Oklahoma State's Marcus Smart on Saturday as, like World Peace once did in 2004, Smart went into the stands to attack a heckling fan.Asked by reporters what he thought about the situation, the man formerly known as Ron Artest had the following to say:"If a fan screams something at me, I don’t know what that person has been through, you know. He could have or she could have grown up rough or maybe in a single family household. I don’t know what would make somebody scream negative things at somebody, maybe they’re just having fun. In a pro game, I’ve learned to accept it because they pay to watch us play and hey, I appreciate it. Then I go home and I finish watching Breaking Bad. It’s that simple for me. I’m actually on House of Cards now. I just finished Breaking Bad. I wish there was a Season 6 actually, because Breaking Bad was amazing. Have you seen it?.....I don’t know how old he is, but I know at 19 years old when I came out of St. Johns, I was fresh out the hood, fresh out of Queensbridge. So my mentality was still struggle, defensive and things like that. So I wasn’t really conscious. But I’m 34 years old now. He’s a young kid. I wish I would have listened when I was a kid, to my elders or to people who had my best interest at heart. And then I wish I would have been more conscious at my age. Those are two things that if you were to reach out to a kid like Marcus, a talented kid, a future leader in the community, you would tell him those things."Although not identical, their situations were similar, however Smart faces discipline from the NCAA, whereas World Peace was reprimanded by the NBA at the time.Via Bleacher Report (Photo Credit: AP)

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, by now I’m sure you’ve heard about Marcus Smart shoving a Texas Tech fan in Oklahoma State’s loss at Tech on Saturday. The guy is passionate about Texas Tech...
The Marcus Smart debacle is quite the craze today. We hear of issues with hot headed players fairly often, and most of the time it’s in one ear and out the other. Momentary outrage in our media day. However, this scenario is a little different.
This altercation occurred with a Texas Tech fan identified as a “Super Fan” Jeff Orr (read “douchebag”). Orr evidently has been...
Marcus Smart of Oklahoma State was not “smart” tonight. Smart’s actions tonight during Oklahoma State’s game at Texas Tech will very likely lead to a multiple game suspension. @CJZero was all over it with the GIF.

Unless you don’t follow college basketball, you might have already heard about Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart pushing a fan during last night’s game against Texas Tech after a Tech fan said a racial comment to him.
After many people have chimed in with their own personal opinion, Durant decided to speak up in favor of Marcus in the below tweet from ESPN’s Royce Young:
Oklahoma State announced that preseason All-American Marcus Smart is suspended for the next three games. Smart was involved in an altercation where he pushed a Texas Tech fan under the basket after a hard foul late in the game. The fan obviously said something and Smart responded by charging the fan and pushing him. Big 12 officials levied Smart with a technical foul.
Marcus Smart may be the most ironically named guy since Metta World Peace. With temper tantrums and inconsistent play, the worst enemy of Marcus Smart is in fact like NBA lottery pick Marcus Smart.
In the final moments of Oklahoma State’s 65-61 upset loss at Texas Tech, the Oklahoma State sophomore guard went flying into the stands after making a big block that could have potentially...
Oklahoma State will be without preseason All-American Marcus Smart during a three-game stretch beginning Tuesday night which could make or break the Cowboys season. Smart is suspended three games for his altercation with a Texas Tech fan on Saturday night. What will this do to Smart's reputation? What does it mean for the OSU athletic department's reputation?
Oklahoma State has spiraled out of the Top 25, and is now without star guard Marcus Smart.
Texas may be missing its own leading scorer.
After a confrontation with a fan led to Smart's three-game suspension, the Cowboys will try to avoid a five-game slide and record their longest winning streak over the No. 19 Longhorns in 50 years Tuesday night.
Oklahoma State (16-7, 4-6)...
by V. Corey Greenleaf Oklahoma State point guard Marcus Smart was born in 1994, the year I graduated from high school. Sometimes watching him play, it’s easy to forget he’s a point guard, especially since he’s listed at 6’4 and 220 lbs. After his recent actions on the court, it’s easy to forget he’s 19. […]

In this eye on the draft, we are going to pay attention to a few specific instances that occurred over the weekend, rather than look at the draft as a whole. There were many positives to take away from a huge weekend in college basketball, but unfortunately a negative story stole the headlines.Marcus Smart (Oklahoma State/So): Smart is having a better season for the Cowboys than...
West Virginia's up, Baylor and Oklahoma State continue to fall and Kansas maintains its spot at the top.
Let's get to this week's power rankings.
1. Kansas 18-5, 9-1 Big 12. Last week: 1: Frank Mason: Ankle-breaker extraordinaire.
KU's road loss to Texas last week seems pretty far in the rearview mirror. You can't respond much better than Kansas did. It went on...
