Zak IrvinMichigan Basketball’s 2013 recruiting class is already loaded with outstanding players like Zak Irvin (Fishers, Indiana). Irvin had a tremendous junior season on one of Indiana’s best high school basketball teams, Hamilton Southeastern. According to maxpreps, Irvin averaged 18.8 points, 6.2 boards, 2.1 assits, and 1.6 steals per game for the 22-3 Royals.

Irvin checks in at 6-foot-7, 180 pounds and is a big time scorer. He has a good mid-range game, can knock down some threes and take it to the rack. He is a 4-star recruit and ranked the #54 overall player by rivals.com. The Indiana Basketball Coaches Association selected Irvin to be a member of the 2012 Indiana Junior All-Star team.

Irvin joins Derrick Walton, Mark Donnal, and Austin Hatch (who will likely reclassify to 2014) as members of Michigan’s 2013 class.
