Murphy Holloway scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Mississippi easily beat Grambling State 69-39 on Monday night.
The 6-foot-7 Holloway shot 7 of 11 from the field and grabbed four offensive rebounds. Freshman Aaron Jones added 10 points and seven rebounds.
The game was a blowout within minutes. Ole Miss (2-0) scored the first 10 points and was ahead 17-1 just five minutes into the game. The Rebels extended the lead to 47-17 by halftime despite shooting just 1 of 12 from 3-point range. The Rebels were just 2 of 26 on 3-pointers for the game.
Ole Miss starting forward Reggie Buckner didn't play because of ''conduct detrimental to the team.''
Grambling (0-2) dressed just seven players. Demetri Wheeler led the Tigers with 12 points off the bench.
