Entering Saturday night's clash with Ole Miss, many Missouri Tigers basketball fans wondered how Mizzou would fare in their first game without leading scorer Laurence Bowers? Unfortunately, Tigers fans emphatically got their answer as No. 10 ranked Mizzou was absolutely crushed by  the Ole Miss Runnin' Rebels 64-49.  Saturday's loss was not just a drubbing at the hands of Ole Miss, it was a slaughtering. Mizzou was absolutely destroyed by Ole Miss. The score doesn't tell the story. The Tigers were absolutely embarrassed. Without Bowers, the Tigers were absolutely lost offensively. They shot just 36.8 percent from the field, committed 19 turnovers and didn't score their first point until 13:25 was remaining in the first half.
