Colorado Mines Orediggers center Trevor Wages broke the backboard with a slam dunk in the first quarter of Friday night's game against in-state rival Metro State.

The backboard was unable to be repaired, and game has been re-scheduled for Sunday night.  Metro State leads the game, 21-16.

The School of Mines plays in the NCAA Division II Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.  The Orediggers are 11-8 this season, while Metro State is 19-0.
