A former University of Tennessee basketball employee is in trouble after using a saw and his bare hands to cause mayhem inside the school's basketball arena.
Troy Willis, who spent eight seasons as the strength and conditioning coach for the Vols until being let go after last season by coach Cuonzo Martin, was arrested and charged wtih burglary, theft, and vandalism on Saturday.
According to the report, Willis snuck into the arena early Saturday morning before using a hack saw to enter the office of event management director Bill Whitesell. Once he got inside, he reportedly caused $750 in damages and swiped over $4,000 worth of items from Whitesell's desk.
Surveillance footage shows Willis walking down a hallway inside Thompson-Boling Arena with a saw in his hands and attempting to hide it underneath his coat at times.
A spokesman for the school declined to comment on the incident.
Willis has since been released on bond and is set to appear in court on March 6.
Wills was also arrested on a separate theft charge for allegedly taking a $100 bottle of tanning cream from Fusion Tanning Studio on Kingston Pike on Dec. 5, 2012. According to the report, Wills was contacted about incident and agreed to return and pay for the product, but never did so.
