When asked to assess the 2013 NBA Draft, one general manager said he liked it just fine. He just wouldnt want to possess the first or second pick.
That particular GM doesnt need to worry. His team made the playoffs and has no chance of winning Tuesday nights draft lottery.
Everyone else well, they too may be praying to end the evening with the rally cry of, Were No. 3!
Not that finishing first is a nightmare. You can always trade the pick.
Or you can keep it and draft a guy who hasnt played since February and isnt expected to take the court again until around Christmas.
Yes, Kentucky center Nerlens Noel appears to be the big prize. He once blocked 12 shots in a game. Of course, he also scored 0 points in the same game, but hey, lets not be picky.
Were only talking about a guy whos supposed to help change the course of your crummy franchise.
Oh, the reason for the delayed start to Noels pro career? He underwent surgery for a torn ACL
Is Noel the next Kwame Brown? We dont k...

With the NBA Draft lottery taking place tonight, fans will soon begin to speculate on which teams will be drafting their favorite college basketball stars. And while Kentucky center Nerlens Noel was considered to be the most likely player to be drafted No. 1 overall before the season began, his gruesome knee injury in February has certainly called that into question.
The NBA Draft Lottery will be held on Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. Kentucky's Nerlens Noel has a strong chance to be the No. 1 pick depending on which franchise emerges with the first choice.

If you thought the Celtics interviewing Cody Zeller was interesting, considering he should be off the draft board by the time the Celtics pick at #16, how about the report that projected #1 pick and Boston native Nerlens Noel has interviewed with the Celtics?
The former Kentucky freshman did measure 6-10 in socks and 6-11 1/2 in shoes with...
Cleveland Cavaliers: Cavs win the Lottery, Will Draft Noel. But?
By Mike Elworth: Owner
The Cleveland Cavaliers won the Draft Lottery for the 2nd time in 3 years. Congratulations to the team, as they will add another piece to their emerging core, led by superstar point guard, Kyrie Irving. Too bad they will most likely draft Nerlens Noel. Do not misinterpret this as sarcasm, as Noel...
CLEVELAND -- With the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, the Cleveland Cavaliers very well could select Nerlens Noel, the shot-blocking center out of Kentucky.
As you probably know, the Cavs won the draft lottery for the second time in three years Tuesday night.
As you also probably know, Noel has a serious upside. He stands 6-foot-11, he can really jump and he can throw...
For the 2nd time in three years, the Cleveland Cavaliers have won the NBA Draft Lottery. In 2011, the Cavaliers used the pick to draft Duke’s Kyrie Irving. Could Cleveland now be the future destination of Kentucky’s Nerlens Noel? The Cavs have been snake-bitten with the departure of LeBron James, and have been trying to console themselves ever since. For the franchise, Cleveland...
The Cleveland Cavaliers will select first in the upcoming NBA Draft. The Cavaliers had a 15.6 percent chance of winning the top spot, and have now won the lottery for the second time in the last three years.
Before the lottery results were revealed, Cavs representative Nick Gilbert stated that this would be the team’s final visit to the lottery and that a playoff push was in the...
Nobody wanted the first overall pick. That was the story in the days and weeks heading into the NBA draft lottery, which took place Tuesday night. In a year bereft of that singular, franchise-altering talent, nabbing the top pick was supposed to be as much a curse as a gift.
Not for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
For the rest of the 13 non-playoff teams playing lotto, seeing NBA deputy...
The Cleveland Cavaliers landed the top pick in the 2013 NBA Draft on Tuesday night during the annual lottery event. Many draft observers expect Kentucky's Nerlens Noel to be a strong candidate for the choice.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have won the NBA draft lottery for the second time in the last three years Tuesday, securing the right to select the No. 1 pick on June 27. Most analysts say Kentucky center Nerlens Noel and Kansas shooting guard Ben McLemore are the top prospects for the NBA draft.

HoopStuff’s 2013 NBA Mock Draft
By Mike Elworth: Hoopstuff Owner and Publisher
1. Cleveland Cavaliers- C- Nerlens Noel- Kentucky
- The Cavs once again have the first overall pick and will most likely draft the defensive star out of Kentucky, Noel. Noel would instantly boost their poor defense and he should become the backbone of their defense for years to come.
2. Orlando Magic...
The NBA Draft Lottery was held Tonight and we found out the Cleveland Cavs will pick first in the 2013 NBA Draft.
The Cavs have been lucky enough to get No. 1 pick 3 times in 11 years. However, the Cavs have also been bad enough to get No. 1 pick three times in 11 years.
Unlike last year when Anthony Davis was the clear cut top prospect, a number of players are in consideration...
