NBA Draft Roundup: Dalton Knecht, Reed Sheppard Duel it Out
© Randy Sartin-USA TODAY Sports

With March madness incoming, 2024 NBA Draft prospects have just a few games left to show what they’re made of and raise their stock.

Saturday’s schedule featured one of the most loaded days of the season, with ranked teams facing off one after the other.

Here were the top prospect performances from Saturday’s college basketball afternoon slate:

Dalton Knecht and Reed Sheppard

Tennessee's Dalton Knecht and Kentucky's Reed Sheppard dueled it out Saturday in a battle of top-15 teams.

Knecht saw one of the best games of his career, pouring on 40 points on 14-for-29 shooting, hitting six off his 15 attempted 3-pointers.

Despite that, Sheppard may have stole the show. The Wildcat guard scored 27 points, adding five rebounds and five assists while shooting 7-for-10 on triples.

Sheppard and Kentucky ultimately came away the win, but Knecht showcased his white-hot scoring prowess across from Sheppard.

Collin Muray-Boyles, South Carolina

A 6-foot-7 freshman who’s really come on lately, Collin Murray-Boyles saw one of his better games of the season Saturday.

He scored 19 points, added eight rebounds, six assists, four steals and one block while missing just one shot in 10 attempts. Even better, it helped to earn the No. 17 Gamecocks a 4-point win over Mississippi State.

On the season, he's now averaging 10.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists while shooting near-60% overall.

The Creighton Bluejays

With as many as three potential first round picks, Creighton is always a threat to have top prospect performances.

Saturday, their trio combined for 49 points in a close, 2-point win over Villanova. Baylor Scheierman scored 18, Trey Alexander scored 17 and Ryan Kalkbrenner went for 14, all on average to great efficiency.
