Dominique Sutton and Ray Willis each recorded double-doubles and North Carolina Central defeated North Carolina A&T 71-66 on Saturday.
Sutton had 24 points and 12 rebounds while Willis scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Eagles (14-12, 8-5 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who swept the season series against the Aggies.
With the game tied 51-51, Sutton and Willis combined to score 12 of the Eagles' next 18 points as they took their biggest lead of the game at 69-59 with 2:06 to play. Willis capped the run with a jumper.
Jeremy Ingram added 12 points for the Eagles, who have won five of their past six games.
The Eagles won despite allowing 22 points off 18 turnovers.
Adrian Powell scored 16 points, Marc Hill added 13 and DaMetrius Upchurch had 11 for the Aggies (11-17, 6-7), who have lost five of their past six games.
