The Big 12 is the toughest league in the country. Each night, the league is cannibalizing itself.

The Texas Tech Raiders are on a two-game skid, and now travel to Waco, Texas, to battle the Baylor Bears. The Bears beat Iowa State on Saturday and are looking to build momentum before the Big 12 tournament next month.

Scott Drew's Bears have the tools to win it all, but their team has yet to establish consistency. Their offense needs a better showing in the matchup.

Let's break down both teams below and uncover the best betting angle.

Texas Tech Red Raiders

It was surprising to see the Red Raiders falter on Saturday to Cincinnati, and not because of their opposition. Usually, the Red Raiders have been resilient throughout the season, so it is rare to see them lose two games in a row.

The Red Raiders are 13th in adjusted offensive efficiency and draw a nice matchup against the Bears. They are bound for success inside and outside the arc throughout the matchup.

Guard Pop Isaacs continues to be a human highlight reel for the squad. He had 22 points but struggled from the field.

There is no reason to think that the offense does not continue to flow through him. The potential to put up a monster game against a weak Bears' perimeter is very possible.

The Red Raiders are balanced on offense and shoot 77% from the free-throw line. Forward Darion Williams shoots 40% from deep and 88% at the line.

Isaacs and Williams create matchup nightmares for the Bears, and their versatility on offense opens spacing all over the floor. It is a good matchup for the offense to bounce back.

Baylor Bears

Just like the Red Raiders, the Bears are in a position to have a terrific offensive performance. There is a drastic difference between the Iowa State defense and the Texas Tech unit.

The Bears are fourth in adjusted offensive efficiency and are the top 3-point shooting team in the country. Four players shoot over 40% from deep. The offensive firepower is stunning.

The Bears are not a great defensive rebounding team, but they do an excellent job earning second-chance scoring chances, which is a tremendous advantage in this matchup against a poor perimeter defense.

The Red Raiders have a weak perimeter defense, which is terrific news for the Bears. They are set up to have a field day from the outside.

Defensively, they have a few things to work on. They are getting torched from the outside and allow too many 3-point attempts.

The Red Raiders shot 38% from deep, so they should find plenty of success throughout the matchup. It has all of the makings to be a high-scoring affair.

Betting Pick & Prediction

Both offenses don't play with much pace, but the over is well in play.

These teams are set up to have successful shooting nights, and it should be a back-and-forth affair.

The Bears will have a field day on the offensive glass, which should lead to wide-open 3-point attempts. It is a massive mistake to leave any of these starters with space from the outside, but it is bound to happen multiple times throughout the contest.

I expect Isaacs to continue to cook for the Red Raiders, and he will bounce back from a low-efficiency shooting night. Williams is also in for a big night, as he can beat you on the floor in multiple ways.

If these teams decide to turn this into a free-throw contest, that is no issue for the Red Raiders.

Either way, I do not see a world where the total goes Under.
