Tony Snell hit his first five 3-pointers, three in the opening 2:07 of the game, sparking New Mexico to a 91-46 victory over Montana State on Tuesday.
Snell finished with a career-high 24 points and six 3-pointers, while the Lobos (9-2) hit a season-best 11 shots from beyond the arc en route to their seventh straight victory.
Montana State (5-6), which has lost three straight, got 16 points from Tre Johnson.
New Mexico started the game with a 9-0 run - all 3-pointers from Snell - and by the midpoint of the first half held a 32-8 lead. At halftime, the lead had grown to 53-16.
The game was delayed 30 minutes by a fire alarm shortly before tipoff, the third time in the last two seasons that the Lobos have had a game delayed in that manner.

The New Mexico Lobos came out red hot Tuesday night in The Pit, ran to a 37-point first-half lead and demolished the Montana State Bobcats 91-46. UNM got 21 first-half points from Tony Snell. UNM has won seven straight.
