Am I the only one who thinks Pitino’s comments at yesterday’s press conference we completely blown out of proportion? I realize that anytime a future hall of fame coach discusses retirement, it’s going to attract some attention. However, you’d think Pitino announced his retirement effective immediately by the way some people are reacting. “When you’re 59, you’re realistic that you don’t have a whole lot of years left,” Pitino said at his press conference on Wednesday. “My contract’s going to run out in 2017. I’m not coaching anymore after that.” First and foremost, shame on you people who haven’t learned not to take Rick so seriously. Just a month ago Coach Pitino said that if he continues to feel the way he feels, he could coach until he’s 90. Obviously that was an exaggeration, but you get the point. Even if Pitino does decide to step down after the 2017 season, why would that be such a shock? Five more seasons with Pitino would be a blessing in my opinion. Rick will be in his
