Azotam scored nine first-half points, then added a layup to open the second half and give the Bobcats (8-12, 4-4 Northeast Conference) a 34-23 lead. Zaid Hearst's 3-pointer with 2:58 to play gave Quinnipiac a 56-51 lead, and Jackson, in the final minute, stole the ball once from Sidney Sanders Jr. and twice blocked layup attempts by Sanders, the second of which could have tied the game with 5 seconds left.
