Coach Pitino met with the media this afternoon to speak about his 2013 recruiting class. Here is a brief recap, along with a video, courtesy of Jody Demling of CardinalAuthority.com. –Coach Pitino said it was critical in 2013 to bring in a class that could score and shoot. –David Levitch, a 6-foot-3 shooting guard from North Oldham High School outside of Louisville will join the 2013 class as a walk-on. Pitino says he expects Levitch to play a similar role as Tim Henderson. –Pitino says although Mangok Mathiang signed with the team in 2012, he’ll be a part of the 2013 class due to redshirting this season. –The staff won’t pursue anymore guards other than one in the 2014 class. Coach Pitino says the backcourt is now solidified.
