Alabama basketball has been hit with more bad news. Freshman Devonta Pollard has been indicted on kidnapping charges. Pollard may never set foot on this floor again. Photo by @Jwill1095 Pollard, who played just under 18 minutes per game for the Crimson Tide his freshman year, was supposed to be looking forward to his next three years at the Capstone. However, that’s been thrown out the window after Pollard has officially been charged with playing a role in the alleged kidnapping of a 6-year old girl from Kemper County, Mississippi (his home state) back in April.  According to Pollard’s indictment, he was an “accessory to the kidnapping at different times and in different ways throughout that day”. It goes on to explain all of Pollard’s actions for the day — you can read the read the whole report here. The 18-year-old former McDonald’s All-American is facing a maximum of five years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine if found guilty of being an accessory to kidnapping. Neither men’s basketball coach Anthony Grant nor the university have made statements.
