According to the New York Times the NCAA is looking at top basketball recruit Nerlens Noel. Noel is rated the number one player by most recruiting services for the class of 2012 and to no shock he committed to John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats. According to Pete Thamel of the New York Times the NCAA sent 2 assistant directors of enforcement to Everett high school in Massachusetts. Noel spent his first two seasons at Everett then he finished up his final two seasons at the Tilton School in New Hampshire. Thamel explains many reasons why the NCAA could be looking into Noel. The NCAA could be looking at Noel’s so called advisors Chris Driscoll and Errol Randolph. These are the guys that usually create problems for the athletes with the NCAA Driscoll was banned from the Tilton campus. Noel also flied to Kentucky and Louisville on unofficial visits. A few years ago I wrote a piece called, “Now there’s a problem.” The basis of the story was that while the Kentucky basketball juggernaut had slumbered during the Tubby Smith and Billy Gillispie years, Wildcat detractors were gracious and friendly. But now that John Calipari, a perceived bad boy in college basketball, has taken over the helm, people openly have a problem with the success.

I’m Back!

Just a note to let everyone know Im back. After a long hiatus I have returned to deteriorate the blogosphere. Hope everyone is prepared. With my University of Kentucky Wildcats winning the National Title in men’s college hoops this year has already started out on the right path. Now let’s see if the Rays can bring home the World Series and the Tampa Bay Buc’s take another Superbowl!
