Byrd, 21, was booked into jail at about 3 a.m. local time Friday. He was released about five hours later.

Head coach Matt Painter was reportedly reviewing the incident and weighing the starting guard's status for Sunday's game against seventh-ranked Michigan State.
Byrd, a junior, is averaging eight points per game this season for the Boilermakers, but has come on strong with 16.8 points over the past five games.
Purdue is fighting for a spot in the NCAA Tournament at 17-9 and 7-6 in Big Ten play.
