Kevin Ware was the story of the Final Four after suffering a nasty looking injury. By all accounts Ware is going to make a full recovery. Now there are reports that Ware was briefly kicked off the team this summer.
According to Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio, Ware was kicked off the teams for violations of a team rule multiple times. More from Jones:

University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino addressed the rumors last week that he purchased a $450,000 Japanese-made road car – a Lexus LFA. Pitino said he had the car for only about 30 minutes.
Serious question: who put me in charge of writing the local news?
Meet Adam Lefkoe, 11 News hashtag sportscaster, pro wrestling fan and Guy Having His Body Inhabited By The Ghost Of Brandon Stroud. In this epic clip, Adam recounts the ins-and-outs of Sunday’s Louisville Cardinals / Ohio Bobcats game and namedrops 31 — yes, 31 — pro wrestlers in the process. There are some...
Obviously I’m biased, but I don’t think there is a team that put on a more dominant performance in the first week of college football than the Louisville Cardinals. Sure, there were other ranked teams that won by a larger margin. However, most of those teams played FCS opponents.
Louisville took on a team that won a bowl game last season and is predicted to win their division...
University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino addressed rumors about Kevin Ware’s status on the team and updated the media on his injury and the recovery in a 35-minute press conference on his Hall of Fame induction on Monday.
I don’t think it’s out of line to say that Charlie Strong gets upset when the Card March isn’t a success. Anytime there has been a lack-luster crowd since he’s been hired, Strong has found a spot to sneak in a comment about the lack of fans. He even went as far as comparing Louisville fans to the arch rival “Big Blue Nation,” last season following a poor showing for the...
Over the past two years, I’ve been fortunate enough to interview Louisville wide receiver Damian Copeland multiple times. Not only is Copeland always an entertaining interview, but he’s very passionate about the game of football. That always comes out during the interviews.
During Sunday’s post game interview, Copeland talked about the competition at the wide receiver position...
Louisville sophomore linebacker James Burgess Jr. had 12 total solo tackles as a true freshman last season. The Miami native with five solo tackles during Louisville’s season opener. There were plenty of bright spots on the Louisville defense on Sunday, but I’m not sure if anyone played better than James Burgess.
I spoke with James following the game and he gave a lot of credit...
The Louisville wide receiving group lived up to the hype in the season opener. Eight different players had receptions and four different players found the end-zone on Sunday as Louisville defeated Ohio 49-7.
Despite not being one of the main wide-outs that we heard about during the offseason, it was Kai De La Cruz who stole the show on Sunday. De La Cruz led the team with 116 receiving...
Louisville coach Charlie Strong believes a short week of preparation will help his No. 8 Cardinals maintain their focus with another winnable game looming.
The Cardinals host Eastern Kentucky Saturday after their season-opening 49-7 rout Sunday of Ohio.
Strong also knows that eight FCS schools pulled off upsets last weekend, so his players can't look past a Colonels squad coming...
During his weekly media briefing, Louisville head football coach Charlie Strong shared some unfortunate news. Redshirt sophomore running back Corvin Lamb has suffered ACL and will miss the remainder of the season.
Lamb had four carries for 13 yards during Sunday’s season opener. He left the game late with a noticeable injury. However, I don’t think it looked quite as severe as...
Surgery comes Thursday for Hunter Bowles.
The big 6-foot-6, 265-pound redshirt freshman tight end on the University of Louisville football team explained his situation in a Facebook post on Tuesday:
“I have what is called a Chiari Malformation, which basically means my lower skull didn’t form right as a child. Over time it has pushed on my spine. I will be having surgery to remove...
