The Saint Louis Billikens continued one of the best seasons the program has ever seen while sitting in a Best Buy store on Sunday afternoon. The Billikens saw their name flash on the screen during the CBS Selection Sunday Special. Saint Louis is the number four seed in the Midwest Bracket.
The Billikens will face off against the No. 13 seed New Mexico State Aggies. Saint Louis has the advantage in this game and there are five reasons why the Billikens should take care of business on Thursday afternoon.
1. The Billikens are still hot.
Saint Louis is one of the hottest teams entering the NCAA tournament. The Billikens are 9-1 in their last 10 games, including three straight wins in the Atlantic 10 tournament.
On the other hand, New Mexico State has won five in a row and eight out of their last ten. The main difference here is that some of Saint Louis’ wins are against tournament teams, like VCU, Butler and La Salle, while the Aggies haven’t played any top teams lately.
