Pitt battled to get back into the game, after trailing 31-19 early on. The Panthers took a six-point lead around the seven-minute mark. Seton Hall came back, thanks to the play of Herb Pope down the stretch. Pope helped clinch the victory with a layup with 30 seconds left.
