The Victory Formation:
The darling of the NCAA Tournament, the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles, probably wouldn’t have been in position to pull off their historical upset of the Georgetown Hoyas if it wasn’t for senior guard Sherwood Brown. He is averaging 15.5 points per game and 6.5 rebounds in his final season in Ft Myers, and was the catalyst in Friday’s win with 24 points. But an offseason arrest could have easily derailed this Cinderella tale.
According to court documents obtained by the Victory Formation, Brown was arrested late last summer in his hometown of Orlando, FL and charged with disorderly conduct. Police stated in the document that Brown along with friends were involved in a dispute at a local establishment in the bar district of the city. When police intervened, Brown allegedly became verbally and physically involved with one of the officers.

Let’s see a show of hands: who had Florida Gulf Coast winning two games in the 2013 NCAA tournament? We don’t believe you. There’s no way anyone could have predicted any 15-seed would make it to the Sweet 16, much less a school making its first trip to the NCAA tournament.
