Half of Rick Pitino’s 2013 recruiting class has faxed in their letters of intent and are now officially Louisville Cardinals.
Chris Jones, a 5-foot-10 junior college point guard at North West Florida State College was the first to make it official. Jones (pictured below), submitted his paper work shortly before 11 A.M. this morning.
Jones verbally committed to Louisville following an unofficial visit he September. He chose the Cards over Baylor, Oklahoma State, Memphis, Florida State and Kansas. He is rated as one of the top junior college prospects in the country.
Pitino’s first commitment from the 2013 class, Anton Gill, was the next future Cardinal to make it official by faxing in his letter of intent. Gill, a 6-foot-3 scoring guard has been committed to Louisville since last December.
He is rated as a 5-star prospect by Scout.com. Gill also had offers from North Carolina State, Wake Forest, South Carolina and UNC Charlotte. He currently plays for Hargrave Military Academy wit...
